Powder Coating & Industrial Painting in Mesquite, TX

Mesquite is close enough that our shop works like an extension of yours. Fabrication, trailer and truck components, industrial hardware — the kind of work where getting a sample looked at this afternoon beats a week of emailing photographs back and forth. AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 registered, powder and liquid both.

What we run

Coating Work for Mesquite Manufacturers

Steel fabrication and weldments

Prep is where fabricated steel coatings succeed or fail. Weld spatter, undercut, mill scale and sharp edges all get addressed at blast rather than coated over and hoped for.

Trailer and truck components

Outdoor service, hard handling, corrosion exposure. Thick powder film over a proper anchor profile, with an honest conversation about whether a barrier coating is the right answer at all for a given part.

Industrial and shop equipment

Frames, guards, housings and racks. Straightforward work done to a documented parameter sheet, which is why the tenth one matches the first.

Quick-turn and rework

Fifteen minutes means a same-day look at a problem part. If something came back from a previous coater, bring it — stripping and refinishing is best-effort work and we will tell you honestly what we think before quoting it.

Getting parts here

Distance, Freight and Turnaround

About 10 miles south — 15 to 20 minutes, and no highway required.

Almost every Mesquite customer drives parts over. Use that: bring a sample before you release a lot, look at a color standard against your own part under our lights, and walk an unusual job with us on the floor. We are at 5020 Grisham Drive, open Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm.

Why us

What Most Coating Shops Serving Mesquite Cannot Say

AS9100D registered

The aerospace quality standard, third-party registered and audited on a surveillance cycle — not a claim, a certificate you can download.

ITAR registered and DFARS compliant

Controlled technical data handled under access control, so a defense prime can release work without a flow-down exception.

Powder, liquid and Cerakote

Three processes under one roof, so the recommendation is driven by your part rather than by the only line we own.

Plating in the same company

Gleco Paint & Powder is the coatings division of Gleco Plating — one purchase order, one traceability chain, one certificate of conformance.

Questions

Mesquite Coating Questions

How close are you to Mesquite?

About ten miles — roughly 15 to 20 minutes to 5020 Grisham Drive in Rowlett, mostly on surface streets.

Can you strip and recoat parts that were done elsewhere?

Sometimes, and we are straight about the limits. Stripping, salvage and refinishing another processor’s work are accepted on a best-effort basis without warranty, because we did not control what happened underneath. We will look at the parts and tell you what we think before you commit.

Do you take one-off jobs?

Yes, subject to minimum lot and line-item charges, which we state on the quotation. For a single part the minimum usually governs the price — better to know that up front.

What do you need before quoting?

Part configuration or a drawing, quantity, the finish specification with class, type and thickness where the spec requires them, substrate and alloy, and any masking or critical feature called out. Missing pieces are the usual reason a quote gets requoted after the parts arrive.

Do you coat aluminum?

Routinely, with the right conversion coating. The one caution is heat-treated tempers — a standard 400°F cure sits above where 6061-T6 is aged. For structural parts we recommend a low-cure powder, a liquid system, or coupon testing your engineering group signs off on. Tell us the alloy and temper.
