Garland is the closest dense manufacturing base to our plant — machine shops, electronics manufacturers and fabricators packed into a few square miles, most of them within a fifteen-minute drive of our dock. For a Garland shop we are effectively an in-house finishing department that happens to be down the road, with AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 behind it.
Request a Quote(972) 475-2726Coating goes last, after machining and heat treat. Send the alloy, temper and any masking callout and we will tell you what the film does to your dimensions before the parts arrive rather than after.
Enclosures, chassis and panels — RoHS-compliant systems, silk screened legends and part marking, masked grounding points held to a real boundary.
Laser-cut edges carry an oxide that coatings struggle to hold, and mill scale drives corrosion wherever it cracks. We deal with both at prep. It is worth knowing which one you are sending us.
Being fifteen minutes away changes what is practical. Sample panels, a first article, a color trial before a production release — all of that is a same-week conversation instead of a freight cycle.
About seven miles. Fifteen minutes, and no highway if you do not want one.
Most Garland customers drive parts over themselves, often same day. That proximity is worth using: bring a sample before you commit a production lot, come look at a color standard against your part under our lights rather than approving from a chip, and walk the job with us if something is unusual. We are open 8:00 to 4:00, Monday through Friday.
The aerospace quality standard, third-party registered and audited on a surveillance cycle — not a claim, a certificate you can download.
Controlled technical data handled under access control, so a defense prime can release work without a flow-down exception.
Three processes under one roof, so the recommendation is driven by your part rather than by the only line we own.
Gleco Paint & Powder is the coatings division of Gleco Plating — one purchase order, one traceability chain, one certificate of conformance.
About seven miles — roughly fifteen minutes to 5020 Grisham Drive in Rowlett, and you can get here on surface streets. For most Garland shops we are the closest AS9100D registered coating source there is.
Please do. It is the cheapest way to settle a color, a film build or a masking question, and at fifteen minutes away it costs you an hour rather than a week. Call ahead so the right person is on the floor.
Yes, with the caveat that every process carries a minimum lot charge and there is a minimum per line item. A quoted unit price only applies once the order value clears the minimum. We will tell you the number up front rather than surprising you on the invoice.
Yes. Silk screening and part marking run in house alongside coating, which means panel legends, nameplates and MIL-spec identification do not need a second vendor or a second shipment.
Specification and revision, substrate and alloy or temper, any masking called out by feature, the color standard if appearance is controlled, any bake requirement, and anything you need certified beyond our standard certificate of conformance.
Five questions about substrate, heat limit, service environment and priority, and you get a recommended finish plus the specification language for your drawing.
Eighteen things worth knowing before your part reaches a coating line — film build and dimensions, cure temperature and temper, masking, prep.
Wet paint, powder and Cerakote side by side, including an honest note on when each one is the wrong answer.
Send the drawing, the specification and the service environment. We will tell you what we would run and why — including when the answer is something we do not do.
