One Gleco

Need plating, anodizing or passivation too?

Gleco Paint & Powder Coating is the coatings division of Gleco Plating. Plating, anodizing, chem film, passivation and electroless nickel run in the same organization — so a part that needs plating and coating ships from one supplier, under one quality system, on one certification package.

Common questions

Before you send the print

Powder coating or liquid paint — which do I need?

Powder is usually the better call for durability, thickness and cost on parts that can take an oven cure: brackets, frames, enclosures, wheels. Liquid paint wins when you need a thin film, a very specific military or aerospace system, heat-sensitive substrates, or a finish on an assembly that cannot be baked. Send us the part and the requirement and we will tell you which fits.

Can you match a custom color?

Yes. We match to your standard, a physical sample, RAL, or Federal Standard 595, and we keep color charts and display panels so you can see the real finish before production. Custom shades can be formulated through our powder and paint suppliers.

Do you do CARC and MIL-spec painting?

Yes. We are recognized for military-specification painting including CARC (Chemical Agent Resistant Coatings), along with EMI/RFI shielding for military and commercial electronics. Documentation and traceability come with it.

What are your typical lead times?

Most standard powder and paint work runs on a short, predictable cycle, and we schedule around your ship date rather than ours. Tell us the date you need and we will tell you honestly whether we can hit it.

Can you handle both low-volume prototypes and high-volume production?

Yes — that mix is what we are built for. Prototype and short-run work goes through the same certified processes as production, so what you qualify is what you get at volume.

Can one supplier plate and coat the same part?

Yes. Gleco runs plating, anodizing and passivation alongside paint and powder, so multi-process parts stay inside one organization instead of moving between vendors — one PO, one quality system, one point of accountability.
