Quality Management Certifications

Our quality system is third-party registered and audited on a recurring surveillance cycle. Our Rowlett coating facility at 5020 Grisham Drive is named on the certificate in its own right, with a registered scope of powder-coating, liquid painting and silk-screening services for the following industries: aviation, space, defense, electronics, automotive, motorcycles, architectural, medical, and commercial. Certificates are available for download below and can be supplied directly to your supplier-quality group on request.

AS9100D

The aerospace quality management standard, built on ISO 9001 and extended with the risk management, configuration control, counterfeit-part prevention, first-article inspection and product-safety requirements the aerospace and defense supply chain depends on.

  • Risk-based process control
  • Configuration and change management
  • First article inspection (AS9102)
  • Counterfeit part prevention
  • Foreign object damage (FOD) control

ISO 9001:2015

The international standard for quality management systems. Process approach, documented controls, corrective and preventive action, management review, and continuous improvement measured against objectives.

  • Documented process control
  • Corrective and preventive action
  • Internal audit program
  • Management review cadence
  • Supplier qualification and monitoring

Export & material

Defense & Export Compliance

Coating work for defense programs carries obligations beyond the finish itself. We maintain the registrations and material controls that let a defense prime release controlled work without a separate flow-down exception.

ITAR Registered

Registered with the U.S. Department of State, Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. Technical data covered by the U.S. Munitions List is handled under access control; drawings and specifications are not shared outside authorized personnel.

DFARS Compliant

We support DFARS flow-down requirements on defense subcontract work, including specialty metal and domestic-source provisions where they apply to the coating operation and its consumables.

RoHS Compliant

Coating systems are available in RoHS-compliant configurations for electronics and enclosure work, including hexavalent-chromium-free pretreatments where the specification permits.

Approvals

Customer & Industry Approvals

Beyond system registration, individual processes are approved against the specifications your print calls out. If a specification is not listed, send the drawing — most of what we run was added because a customer asked.

Military & federal specifications

We coat to the MIL-SPEC, MIL-PRF, MIL-DTL and TT-series specifications that dominate defense work — CARC topcoats, epoxy primers, zinc-rich primers, chemical conversion coatings and dry film lubricants among them. Each is run to the specification’s stated cure, thickness and performance requirements with the test coupons to prove it.

Customer-specific approvals

Many of our aerospace and defense customers maintain their own approved-processor lists and their own internal coating specifications. We work through those qualifications directly — sample panels, first article, PPAP documentation, source inspection — rather than asking you to accept an equivalency.

Behind the certificate

The Discipline Behind the Certification

A certificate on the wall is the outcome, not the system. What makes it hold up under audit is the daily practice underneath it.

Documented process control

Every process runs to a written parameter sheet — film build, cure schedule, line speed, pretreatment sequence. Operators do not work from memory.

In-process verification

Thickness, adhesion, gloss and cure are checked in process, not only at final. Problems get caught while the load is still recoverable.

Traceability

Lot and job traceability from receiving through pack-out, with retained records tied to the coating batch and the operator who ran it.

Corrective action that closes

Nonconformances get a root cause and a verified corrective action, not a note in a binder. Recurrence is treated as a failure of the fix.

Questions

Certification Questions

Can you send your certificates directly to our supplier quality group?

Yes. The current AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 certificate is downloadable above, and we can send it — along with our W-9, certificate of insurance, and supplier survey responses — directly to whoever handles supplier onboarding on your side. Contact us and tell us who needs it.

Are Gleco Paint & Powder Coating and Gleco Plating the same company?

Yes. Gleco Paint & Powder Coating is a division of Gleco Plating, Inc. and operates under the same registered quality management system, the same ITAR registration and the same corporate entity. If your approved-supplier record lists Gleco Plating, Inc., our coating work is already covered by it.

Do you provide certificates of conformance with shipments?

Yes. A certificate of conformance stating the specification, revision and applicable process parameters ships with the order on request, and can be set as a standing requirement on your account so you do not have to ask each time.

Can you support first article inspection and PPAP?

Yes. We support AS9102 first article inspection and PPAP-level documentation packages, including test coupons processed with the production load where the specification requires them.

What if our specification is not on your list?

Send the drawing and the specification. Most of what we run was added because a customer needed it. If it is outside what we can qualify, we will tell you that directly rather than run it and hope.

Do you accept ITAR-controlled technical data?

Yes. We are registered with the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls and handle controlled technical data under access control. We do not publish our registrant code; it is provided directly to customers who require it for their records.

Need our certificates or terms for your supplier file?

Tell us who needs them and we will send the full package the same day — certificates, terms, insurance and line card.
