Coating for Job Shops & Fabricators

Overflow capacity, fast turns and a finishing partner who will not quote against you. If you machine, fabricate or weld and your customer wants the part finished, we are the back end — not a competitor.

What we run

What we run for shops

Most fabricators do not want to own a paint line. The capital, the permits, the environmental compliance and the people are all real, and the volume rarely justifies it. Sending it out only works if the finisher is predictable.

Powder Coating

The volume workhorse. Racks, frames, brackets, enclosures, guards and weldments in any quantity from one to a production run.

  • Batch and production volume
  • Wide color and texture range
  • Quick standard turnaround

Liquid Paint & MIL-Spec

When the print calls out a paint system rather than powder, including military and aerospace specifications your customer has flowed down to you.

  • MIL-spec and CARC systems
  • Primer and topcoat stacks
  • Certificates of conformance

Blast, Prep & Masking

Blasting, cleaning and phosphate before coating, plus the masking your customer’s print calls for on threads, bores and sealing faces.

  • Scale and weld discoloration removal
  • Iron phosphate pretreatment
  • Masking per print

Plating & Anodizing Too

Gleco Plating runs zinc, zinc-nickel, nickel, tin, silver, anodize, chem film and passivation in the same company. One vendor for the whole finishing scope.

  • Plating and anodizing in-house
  • Multi-process parts on one PO
  • One quality system, one contact
Why us

Why shops send work to us

A finishing vendor is a schedule risk you inherit. What a job shop actually needs is a date that holds, a price that does not move and a partner who is not going to call their customer.

We do not compete with you

Gleco does not fabricate, machine or weld. Your customer stays your customer — we finish parts, that is all.

Dates that hold

A firm date with the quote, and expedited service when your customer moves the schedule on you.

Paperwork for your customer

Certificates of conformance and first article reports come with the parts, so you can pass them straight through.

Small runs welcome

One part or a thousand. Prototype and low volume run through the same certified system as production work.

Questions

Job shop coating FAQ

Do you have a minimum order?

There is a minimum lot charge that covers setup, but there is no minimum piece count. A single prototype is normal work. Ask for the minimum when you send the RFQ so it is priced openly.

What is your standard turnaround?

Standard work is usually quoted inside a week depending on volume and process route, with a firm date on the quote rather than an estimate. Expedited service is available — tell us at RFQ, not after the order.

Will you contact my customer?

No. You are our customer. We quote to you, ship to you and send the paperwork to you. Whose part it ultimately is stays your business.

Can you handle MIL-spec work my customer flowed down to me?

Yes. Gleco is AS9100D certified, ISO 9001:2015 certified, ITAR registered and DFARS compliant. Send the flowdown clauses with the RFQ so any special requirements are priced and planned rather than discovered later.

Can I send parts that need plating and coating?

That is the case we are built for. Plating, anodizing and coatings run in the same company, so a part needing chem film under paint or zinc-nickel under powder is one purchase order and one schedule.

How do I get a quote?

Email the print and quantity to gpp@glecoplating.com or use the contact form. If the finish is not fully specified, say so — telling you what the coating should be is part of the service, not an extra.

Send the print. We will quote it to you.

Drawing, quantity and the finish if you have one. Quotes typically back within one business day.
